My Name is Kathia Bardati-Faranda, I am 33 years of age, mother of two small children and happily married to an Australian. I currently reside in Currumbin, on the Gold Coast, but I was born and raised in Brazil and moved to the UK when I was 17 years of age. Therefore, I am fluent in English and Portuguese.
Living in such diverse societies such as Brazil, which is considered one of the most multicultural countries on earth, then moving to England, which is in itself is a very highly diverse country; to moving again to Australia, which has a similar level of diversity but offers a far more harmonious and accepting society, makes me feel truly welcome and proud to be a naturalised Australian.
My interests extends to languages, travelling, raising a beautiful family, rituals and traditions associated with ceremonies and celebrations. I take my role as a Marriage Celebrant very sincerely and always look to offer that special difference and extra touch that every wedding couple looks for on their special day. It is with great honour that I may be a part of such a momentous occasion and I look forward to being a part of your special journey towards a married life.
Due to my background, I have been active in the Brazilian community and I am equipped by knowledge, language, experience and contacts to conduct weddings with a Brazilian theme.
As an authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant I have been appointed by the Australian Federal Department of the Attorney-General to solemnise marriages in Australia according to the Marriage Act 1961.
I am a member of The Alliance of Celebrants Queensland, Inc. and The Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants .
